PROCEEDING INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON CONTEMPORARY ISLAMIC STUDIES (INCONCIS) 2020 Thema: Developing Islamic Science to Enhance Human Civilization in the 4.0 Industrial Era

This paper reports the result of Research and Development (R & D) study that developing an Articulate Storyline as Interactive Learning Media for Teaching English in MA Al-Manar Prambon Nganjuk. Borg and Gall’s model in R & D is adapted in developing the learning media in this present study. The adapted model consists of seven steps: need analysis, develop preliminary for of product, expert validation, revision I, field testing, revision II, and final product. The result revealed that the instructional media developed obtains possitive comments from the students. It is due to the fact that the media have been developed based on the students’ need, validated on theoretical and empirical validation, as well as having accomodated the suggestion from the experts and users. This study analyzes the problems of Islamic education and solutions. Using a qualitative approach to descriptive analysis, the findings of this study resulted in the conclusion that internally the problem of Islamic education is 1) low quality of human resources (HR), 2) lack of interest in learning Islamic education, and 3) weak management. Externally, education problems are 1) lack of facilities and infrastructure, 2) an always-changing curriculum, 3) a lack of equitable Islamic education, 4) a controlled system lacking in favor of Islam. Solutions offered for internal problems in Islamic education are 1) improving the work ethic and professionalism of educators, 2) developing the life skills of learners, 3) innovation and management of education. While the solution to external problems is 1) equipping educational infrastructure, 2) curriculum reconstruction, 3) equitable Islamic education, 4) controlling the system in favor of Islam.

ARTICLE INFORMATION The aim of this paper is to discusses the practice of cousin marriage in the community of Kalola Village, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi. This study uses qualitative methods and data was gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and written material. Data analysis was analyzed using grounded theory approach. The results showed that the foster teacher pattern applied in MAN Insan Cendekia Palu City was a form of activity and guidance that was relative and consistent, and a series of active efforts that made a large contribution to students, in improving intellectual / academic aspects as well as good attitudes.. So that the foster teacher pattern is used as a series of activities as a vehicle to educate, nurture and socialize children in developing their abilities, in order to achieve family, community and school expectations. Some educators who serve as foster teachers apply authoritarian parenting with the aim that students are clear and do not repeat mistakes, and also authoritative parenting which provides more understanding and good guidance without heavy pressure and punishment.

This paper aims to explain the principal of the madrasa's leadership in implementing the curriculum program at Madrasa Tsanawiyah Al Ittihadiyah Pangkalan Masyhur Medan. This study used a qualitative method because it revealed madrasa principals' behavior, vice-principal of the madrasa, education staff, and teachers in implementing madrasa curriculum management. For data collection, this study used interview techniques, observation, and document review. The data were collected then analyzed using data reduction steps, data exposure, and concluding. Triangulation techniques were used to ensure the validity of the data, both among participants and between methods. Education in Indonesia in the last decade has reaped many problems including the weak character of the young generation where the success of a nation can be seen from the character of the younger generation. Seeing these problems, there needs to be some breakthroughs, one of which can be done through character inculcation that is applied in schools through classroom learning and other activities such as extracurricular activities.
